Ying-Hsiang Huang

I am a first-year PhD student at the University of Washington Information School, working with Benjamin Charles Germain Lee. My research sits at the intersection of digital libraries, information retrieval, and computational humanities.

I study how multimodal machine learning can make large cultural heritage and government collections, from digitized maps and photographs to web archives, discoverable when their metadata is sparse or missing.
